Omaha South High security officer injured breaking up fight
OMAHA, Neb. October 31 2021
A security guard at Omaha South High School says he was assaulted as he worked to break-up a fight in the school.
According to a police report, the incident took place on Monday, October 18th.
The security officer filed a police report three days after the fight.
According to the report, the fight was among four students in a second-floor hallway. As the security guard grabbed a student in an attempt to stop the assault, two other students started punching the guard.
The report indicated the students then ran off.
Security camera video matched the security officer’s account.
Two students, one age 15 and the other age 16 were arrested and released.
The security guard told the school’s resource officer he was treated for an injury to his right shoulder.
