On Duty Firefighter Death

Linn County Rural Fire District #1 Pleasanton, KS

On Monday night, June 20, 2022, Firefighter Joshua Haynes,35, responded to a building fire at Carpenter Chiropractic.

While fighting the fire, he experienced a medical emergency and collapsed at the scene.

He was airlifted to the University of Kansas Medical Center where he passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2022. The cause and nature of his death are under investigation.
