Orlando bail bondsman shot to death at his office
Orlando FL April 21 2018 A 53-year-old man was killed in a bail bonds business on West Michigan Street Friday afternoon, an Orange County Sheriff’s spokeswoman said.
James Cole owned at The Bondsman Inc. at 1013 W. Michigan Street, sheriff’s spokeswoman Jane Watrel said. His family members called deputies about 1:20 p.m. and asked for a well-being check because they could not reach him by phone, Watrel said.
“They called enough that there was concern that he wasn’t responding,” Watrel said.
Deputies came to the business and found the man had been shot and killed. It appears to be a homicide, not a suicide, Watrel said.
He was a real piece of work. Stream the premiere of Genius: Picasso on April 24 at 9|8c. No annual contract. No satellite needed.
Deputies canvassed the neighborhood but have not yet found people who said they heard a shooting. Detectives are reviewing surveillance footage from the business, Watrel said.
