LAS VEGAS NV Aug 5 2021 Two women were found dead in a room at Palms Place, located inside the Palms Casino Resort, Tuesday afternoon. Metro Homicide Lt. Ray Spencer says they believe this was a murder-suicide, due to evidence police found.

Around 3 p.m., Metro responded to reports of the deceased individuals found in a hotel room.

Hotel security went to the unit after the guests did not check out. When they arrived, they weren’t able to get into the room, as the security lock was engaged. Maintenance assisted and was able to forcibly open the door.

Spencer says the women were Black, mid- to late 30s, found laying on the bed. Information indicates they are local.

The incident likely occurred within the last 12 hours, with at least one of the individuals alive around 5 a.m. Tuesday morning. Spencer says both suffered gunshot wounds.

A note left in the room indicates they may have been romantically involved, according to Spencer.
