Philadelphia security officer shoots man involved in homicide at nightclub
PHILADELPHIA PA Nov 12 2017 Police were called to a nightclub after a reported shooting and found one person dead and two others injured.
Police say it happened around 4 a.m. Sunday after an altercation outside the A Lounge and Social Club along the 4200 block of Macalester Street in the city’s Feltonville neighborhood.
Police say a confrontation led to a man pulling a gun and shooting an unidentified 39-year-old man in the face and chest. He was pronounced dead at Temple Hospital.
Police say that during the shooting a nightclub security officer arrived and shot the suspect in the leg.
He was taken to the hospital in stable condition and is in police custody.
Investigators say a 24-year-old man was also shot in the leg, but it wasn’t immediately clear how he was struck.
In December, four people were injured after they were shot outside the same club.
The shooting remains under investigation.
