Philly Cop Charged After Biting Security Guard At Bar
Philadelphia PA April 20 2023 A Philadelphia Police officer has been accused of drunkenly biting a security guard at a Center City rooftop bar over the weekend.
Officer Anthony Santulli, 31, was charged with aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, public drunkenness, and more crimes in connection with a Sunday incident.
The Philadelphia Inquirer reports Santulli is accused of punching and tackling a security guard who denied him reentry to a rooftop party at Fifth and Chestnut streets Sunday.
After tackling the guard, authorities allege Santulli bit the guard’s arm or hand, according to the outlet.
Santulli has reportedly been placed on desk duty.
He was released from custody on $25,000 unsecured bail and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on May 2, court records show.
