Pittsburgh school security officer assaulted, thrown to the ground by a student
Pittsburgh PA December 1, 2022 Police say that an Arsenal Middle School student is now facing school disciplinary action and possible criminal charges after attacking a school security officer on Tuesday, inside a school.
The middle school student entered the school Tuesday morning and was told by a female security officer that he had to leave the building because it was too early, but the student became violent and shoved the security officer to the ground and assaulted her.
The security officer was taken to a hospital with injuries and was treated and released.
A Pittsburgh Public School spokesperson said that the security officer has not returned to work.
Police are investigating this as an assault and the student faces school-based disciplinary action as well.
