POI Lifetime Member Loses Leg To MRSA
Charlotte NC December 2 2020
A Lifetime Private Officer International member needs your help and we are asking for
your prayers and any financial assistance that you can give him.
In 2018 while working at the Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville Arkansas,
Mark A Pennington developed a blister on his left foot which got increasing worse as it
became infected with MRSA (Methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus is Also known as: MRSA, superbug infection)
Mark underwent surgery on that foot and was off work for 3 months.
Doctors thought that they had gotten rid of the infection and treated him further with an array of antibiotics.
On Saturday, November 21st,2020 Mark passed out at the house and his son found him on the floor unconscious and rushed him to the nearest emergency room.
His foot was swollen with blisters were across the bottom of my foot.
He was transferred to Cox South Hospital in Springfield Missouri where he is waiting for several surgeries to take his lower left leg to keep it from spreading further.
He will then receive a prosthetic leg and foot sometime around February or March pending healing.
Mark is now unemployed and unable to collect any form of income currently.
If you would like to assist Mark or help with a financial donation, you may contact him direct at
