Police arrest man on suspicion of threatening security guard, students with fake gun
SAN DIEGO CA Aug 3 2019 — A man was arrested on suspicion of brandishing a replica firearm at a security guard and about 60 students at a school in the Midway District Wednesday night.
Police were called to the EF International Language campus on Kenyon Street near Wing Street around 10:30 p.m. after people saw a man waving what appeared to be a gun.
Officers located the man and arrested him. He also faces potential charges of being under the influence of a controlled substance and violating probation, said San Diego police Officer Billy Hernandez.
It was reported that the man had been displaying a lighter that looked like a gun.
