Police charge man armed with knife threatening Summit Healthcare security
SHOW LOW AZ October 10 2018— Police arrested 59-year-old Mesa resident Frankie Cooley on Wednesday, Sept. 26, after he allegedly threatened to stab the staff at Summit Healthcare.
According to the police report, Cooley went to the hospital front desk for an unknown reason at which time he started causing a disturbance. Police said Cooley was asked by the front desk attendant to leave, but refused.
Instead he allegedly kept arguing until hospital security tried to escort him out the front door at which time he allegedly pulled a knife while reportedly telling the security guard “I will stab you.”
Police said officers responded to Summit Healthcare and arrested Cooley on charges of aggravated assault and disorderly conduct involving a weapon. Officers reportedly found the knife Cooley allegedly pulled on the security guard and took it into evidence.
Cooley was booked into the Navajo County Jail where he was still listed in custody as of Oct. 2
