Police charge man with assaulting-injuring Chambersburg Hospital security officer
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. Feb 4 2018 — A 62-year-old man has been charged after allegedly becoming unruly and injuring a security officer at the Chambersburg Hospital on Thursday, police said.
Chambersburg Police Department reported Friday they responded to the hospital for a report of an assault.
Police said Stephen V. Lightner, whose address was not provided, was being escorted out of the hospital by security officers after allegedly becoming disorderly.
Police allege Lightner got into a physical altercation with two security officers. One officer suffered a significant knee injury and was treated in the emergency room for his injury, police said.
Lightner was charged with one count of aggravated assault.
