Police charge Warwick man with assaulting security
Warwick AU Oct 15 2018 A 28-year-old Warwick man will face eight charges after an alleged assault at The Malt House on the corner of Wood and Guy streets at 1.30am Sunday.
Warwick police Senior Constable Darren Black said security staff at the restaurant refused the man entry as he was intoxicated and didn’t have ID.
“The man allegedly climbed up to the second floor of the building and was removed by security staff,” Sen Const. Black said.
“The man allegedly bit a security guard and then assaulted four police officers.
“He was conveyed to the Warwick Watchhouse and was bailed on Sunday morning to face Warwick Magistrates Court on eight charges on November 28.”
He has been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm, one serious assault police, three assault police and unregulated high risk activity charges.
The man has also been charged with failing to leave licensed premises and commit public nuisance charges.
