Police hunt man who shot security guard during robbery
St Mary Jamaica Aug 30 2019 Police investigators in St Mary are intensifying their search for two gunmen who reportedly robbed a prominent money transfer outlet of over $3 million in the seaside town of Oracabessa on Tuesday.
The hoodlums are also wanted for shooting with intent, as a security guard who was on duty at the outlet was shot and injured by the men during the incident.
Reports reaching Loop News are that sometime after 9am, the two armed robbers entered the building and demanded cash.
During the incident, a confrontation reportedly developed between them and the security guard, who was subsequently shot, and had his licensed firearm stolen.
The men then fled the scene with the stolen cash and gun.
The wounded security guard was reportedly treated at hospital for his injury.
