Police nab man who shoplifted, then assaulted Target security

Officers responded to the Target at the Springfield Mall after a report of a shoplifter who had punched a security officer and ran from the store.
Officers quickly arrived and observed the subject outside hiding and apprehended him after a short foot chase.
The subject was found to have stolen an arcade cabinet and computer Kano kit valued at over $200.
Barry Williams, 47, of Chester was arrested and charged with Retail Theft, Simple Assault, and Resisting Arrest and held for arraignment.
