Police search for armed suspects who robbed two armored trucks in Las Vegas
Las Vegas NV July 13 2017 Police are searching for two suspects who they say committed two armed robberies in Las Vegas. In both robberies, the suspects escaped with bags of money from armored trucks.
The first robbery took place on June 5, near the intersection of Fort Apache and Tropicana. According to police, the suspects pulled up in a white sedan after the victim picked up money from a local business and was carrying it to the truck. A suspect exited the car and demanded the victim drop the bag of money.
The second robbery took place on July 5, near Silverado Ranch Boulevard and Bermuda Road. Police say after the passenger of an armored truck walked out of a store holding money bags, the two suspects ran up to the passenger, guns drawn, and demanded that the victim drop the bags.
Yoanis Olive witnessed one robber run around the building and jump into a getaway car.
“The girls coming to the corner they tried to hide,” said Olive.
On June 5, a victim, who was the sole driver of an armored truck, was confronted by a robber who demanded cash.
The driver complied before the robber drove away in a newer white sedan according to police.
Then on July 5, one guard stayed in the armored truck while another guard went inside the store to collect money bags.
The victim was confronted by two robbers when he left the store with money. The robbers had their guns drawn, later taking off in a blue colored sedan.
In images, the men were wearing masks during the robberies.
Olive said he was outside his restaurant when he saw the end of the robbery. He warned his co-worker about the man with a gun was across the street.
He said at the time he had no idea what happened. Olive said he tried to tell his co-worker to come in the building fast because the man was scaring him.
The first suspect is described as a Black Male Adult, 6’4″, with a heavy build and a dark complexion. The second suspect, also a Black Male Adult, is described as being 5’9″ and having an athletic build.
