Police shoot man with knife outside Kingston Collection mall
KINGSTON, Mass. Sept 24 2020 Police shot and injured a man armed with a knife and acting in a threatening manner in the parking lot of a Massachusetts mall early Tuesday morning.
The Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office said officers responded to the Kingston Collection mall at about 3 a.m. after getting a 911 call from a security guard about a man with a knife acting “erratically.”
Authorities said the 25-year-old Alexander Bakutis of Plymouth allegedly threatened officers and shots were fired.
Bakutis was taken by ambulance to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth before being flown to a Boston hospital.
He’s expected to be arraigned remotely on Wednesday.
