Saturday night near The Mall at Millenia in Orlando, vandals damaged The Container Store, Krispy Kreme, Panda Express, Verizon and Jared, FLORIDA TODAY news partner WKMG News 6 reported.
“I have been informed that Melbourne Square Mall closed at 3:30 today due to credible safety concerns of a potential riot,” Florida State Rep. Randy Fine, R-Palm Bay, posted Sunday afternoon on Facebook.
“Peaceably protesting in the name of justice in a public place is a good thing. Rioting at a private mall is a violent crime,” Fine wrote.
“I stand with Mr. Floyd’s family and against anyone who would riot in his name. I expect law enforcement to use all measures to protect life and property. And I mean all. In Florida, we stand our ground,” he wrote.
