Private Security Employee Arrested for Sexual Battery of a Minor
Hawthorne, FL Feb 25 2018
A private security company employee has been arrested for sexual battery of a minor.
24 year old, Hiram Jackson, was employed by Barkley Security Agency out of Tallahassee. The company is contracted to provide services to high school sporting events. Officials are aware he was working security for a basketball game at Hawthorne High School, and are working to find out if he was at more.
Alachua County deputies say he sexually battered a juvenile victim twice this week. They say he presented himself as a school volunteer and mentor to both the victim and law enforcement, but the Alachua County School Board does not list him as an employee or volunteer.
“We’ve also as part of our investigation made contact with his, now former, employer and that suspect has been terminated and they’re going through additional procedures based on his security status.”
Jackson is also facing charges of lewd and lascivious behavior towards a minor and providing liquor to someone underage. He is being held on over seven hundred and fifty-thousand dollar bond.
