Puyallup Home Depot LP Agent assaulted-pepper sprayed
PUYALLUP, WA June 10 2017– It’s certainly not easy being a loss prevention worker at a big-box store.
According to the Puyallup police blotter, for the second time in a week, a loss prevention officer has been assaulted by a shoplifter trying to flee a store.
This time the assault occurred at the Puyallup Home Depot.
According to Puyallup police, a man tried to steal a number of items from Home Depot on Wednesday by wrapping them in tin foil.
When the security officer confronted him, he pepper sprayed the store security agent.
But he didn’t get away thanks to bystanders who were able to subdue and detain him until police could arrive.
This incident follows news of two men who allegedly assaulted a loss prevention officer at a Target during a liquor robbery and luckily, police have identified those suspects.
