Robber bids ‘good morning’ to security officer at north Tulsa bank
Tulsa OK Nov 3 2017 A man robbed a bank Thursday morning in north Tulsa, voicing a polite greeting to security guards as he walked past them.
The robbery was reported about 9:15 a.m. at the Bank of America branch at 205 E. Pine St., according to the Tulsa Police Department.
The robber walked into the bank and slid the teller a note demanding money, Officer Adam Ashley said. The teller complied, and he exited the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police said the robber had parked in front of the bank and passed two security guards on his way inside, reportedly telling them “good morning.”
“The suspect walked gingerly past the two security guards again, got back into his vehicle and drove away southbound,” police stated in a news release.
Bank employees waited about five minutes before informing the guards of the robbery, police said.
The man was described as white, weighing about 300 pounds and sporting a gray beard. He was last seen wearing a flat cap, white shirt and blue jeans, police said.
