Robber shot & killed by Washington NC sweepstakes/vape shop employee
WASHINGTON, NC March 27 2019 A man who police said was trying to rob an Eastern Carolina sweepstakes and vape business was shot and killed by an employee.
Washington police said they were called to Player’s Vape on U.S. 264 West around 12:15 a.m. Monday for an armed robbery and shots fired call.
Inside, police found the attempted robber had been shot by an employee of the business who has a concealed weapons permit.
The would-be robber had no identification and police say they continue to try to identify him.
Police said their investigation is ongoing as they interview witnesses and employees who were inside at the time of the shooting.
