Rochester Armored Car Service employee charged with bank theft
WACO, Texas Feb 28 2018 A man who worked for Rochester Armored Car Service appeared in Waco’s federal Magistrate Court on Tuesday where he was ordered detained on two counts of bank theft.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Jeffrey C. Manske ordered Brandon Earl Jackson detained on the two-count charge of bank theft that involved the theft of $1,620 from Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., the federal indictment showed.
At the time Jackson was employed at Rochester, the armored car service had a contract with Wells Fargo Bank, the indictment says.
Court documents reflect at the time of the theft, Jackson “willfully misapplied, embezzled, obstructed and purloined cash entrusted to him in his capacity as a contract armored car employee of Wells Fargo Bank, N.A.”
If found guilty on both charges, Jackson could face as much as 40 years in federal prison and be assessed fines not to exceed $1,250,000.
The Omaha, Neb.-based company service has offices in Bryan-College Station and Killeen and throughout Texas.
