San Antonio security guard returns fire after person shot at nightclub
SAN ANTONIO MS Dec 21 2021– A bullet fired outside a night club north of downtown has left a man with what may be a life-threatening wound, according to San Antonio police.
They say that man was working at the time when he was hit by gunfire that police believe was linked to an earlier fight at The Heat night club.
The worker was not involved in the fight, officers said.
The gunfire rang out moments after the two groups of people who had been fighting left the business.
Police say one group was still standing on the corner of N. Main and Evergreen streets when someone drove up in a car and began shooting.
The worker was on his way to bring water to a security guard when he was hit by the gunfire, police said.
He was rushed to a hospital for treatment.
Police say the security guard fired back at the people in the car, and the car sped away.
They do not know if anyone in the car was hit.
