San Antonio security officer applies tourniquet to man’s arm after shooting
SAN ANTONIO TX Sept 20 2021 A man was shot in the arm behind a Northwest side nightclub overnight.
It happened close to 2:00 a.m. early Sunday morning near a club located at the 4500 block of N Loop 1604. The sergeant at the scene told us that details are limited because they are continuing to gather information from witnesses and the information appears to be changing each time they learn something new.
Police do know the shooting occurred in the back parking lot of the club, They say that security overheard the shots and went to investigate, finding a man shot in the arm. Security was able to apply a tourniquet to his arm.
It is unclear at this time how the victim got to the hospital, which is just down the street. He is said to be in stable condition.
Police did find a weapon and they have a suspect in custody who they believe is the shooter. He will be facing aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charges, according to police.
No other information was provided by police and no other injuries were reported.
