San Antonio security officer fatally shoots man while being attacked
SAN ANTONIO TX July 29 2018
A fatal shooting at an apartment complex in San Antonio is now under investigation and some people blame the man at the pool for the shooting because he attacked a security officer.
A security guard fatally shot a 40-year-old man he got into an argument with in the swimming pool area of an apartment complex Thursday night in West Bexar County, officials said.
According to Bexar County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Sgt. Elizabeth Gonzalez, the security guard was making the rounds at Thirty Oaks Apartments in the 11400 block of Culebra Road around 11 p.m. to ensure that no one was in the pool area, which closes at 10 p.m., when he encountered Nickolas Bosch and asked him to leave.
But that turned into an aggressive confrontation where the security officer first used pepper spray and eventually fired his handgun, killing the man.
Bosch was taken to University Hospital, where he died.
Two witnesses, including a 10-year-old, told sheriff’s officials that Bosch “was the aggressor” and that he “attacked the security officer.”
The 10-year-old was not injured and will be interviewed by a forensic specialist.
An investigation will determine if the security guard, who works for Statewide Patrol, will be charged
