Man shot in shootout involving security guard at San Antonio gentleman’s club
SAN ANTONIO TX June 21 2021- A man was shot overnight in a shootout involving a security guard at a gentleman’s club.
It happened around 5:15 a.m. early Saturday morning at the parking lot of Diamonds Showclub on NE Loop 410.
Police were called out to the Valero gas station just down the street for reports of a man in his 20s with a gunshot wound.
He was taken to SAMMC in critical condition.
Police say the man was shot during an exchange of gunfire in the parking lot at the gentleman’s club.
At some point during the shootout an armed security guard opened fire on someone that was shooting.
Police are still investigating who fired the shot that hit the man.
The man was in his vehicle when he was shot. He fled the location and went a couple hundred yards away to the Valero where he called for help.
The security guard has been detained and being questioned by detectives and police are searching for suspects involved.
