SC security officer shoots at suspect involved in shooting a person
NORTH CHARLESTON, SC Aug 10 2019 North Charleston Police say a 31-year-old Moncks Corner man isn’t talking after he was shot Wednesday night in North Charleston.
The incident happened at approximately 10:49 p.m. at an address on the 3700 block of St. Johns Avenue, according to North Charleston PD Chief Deputy Scott Deckard.
Police say a security guard at the scene witnessed the shooting. The guard claims the victim was shot after an argument with another person in the parking lot.
The security guard told police he then fired at the suspect, who ran away.
Police say they found the victim at the scene suffering from gunshot wounds but say the victim would not provide investigators with any details about what happened.
EMS took the victim to MUSC for treatment of his injuries. Police say the incident remains under investigation.
