School police arrest non students with drugs and guns
TULSA, Okla. Nov 24 2019 The Jenks Public Schools Campus Police Department took three people into custody Thursday.
Campus police received a call just before noon about a suspicious car parked between the Freshman Academy and the Sharp Center. Officers found two juveniles and one adult inside the car.
According to officials, the juveniles are not students at Jenks.
Police also discovered two guns and illegal drugs inside the vehicle.
No lockdown was issued because the people were taken into custody quickly.
Parents were notified via email and text immediately.
The three people have not been identified at this time.
Jenks Public Schools released this statement about the incident:
Shortly before noon this morning, Jenks Campus Police officers spotted and approached a suspicious vehicle between the Freshman Academy and the Sharp Center. Officers discovered three individuals inside the vehicle. As officers secured the scene, they discovered two guns and illegal drugs inside the vehicle. Jenks Campus Police officers immediately took all three individuals into custody. There was no lockdown issued for the Freshman Academy or any buildings on Central Campus because law enforcement immediately controlled the scene and all individuals involved. With the suspects in custody, the school day will continue as normal.
