School security guard from Bayonne is charged with sex crimes against 2 minors

A Jersey City public school security guard was charged Monday with multiple sex crimes with two children, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Monday.
The crimes authorities say Freddie Salas, 60, of Bayonne, committed did not involve any students, or occur on school district property, Suarez said.
Salas is charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault, two counts of second-degree sexual assault by contact and two counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
The prosecutor said Salas was arrested on Merseles Street near School 5, where he works. He is being held at the Hudson County jail pending his first court appearance.
