School security prevents trespassing man from entering school campus
GREENVILLE, S.C. January 31, 2024
School security officers stopped a man from attempting to enter an area high school after several students saw the man trying to come through a door.
Police were called and the man was taken into custody and faces several charges.
Police say they were called just before 9:30 a.m. to Christ Church Episcopal on Cavalier Drive for a report of a suspicious person on campus.
Officers said an investigation revealed that the man emerged from a nearby wooded area and tried to get into the school.
Police said the school security team intervened and was able to prevent the man from getting inside.
