Seattle security guard sexually assaulted 3 women
Seattle WA Nov 1 2017 Prosecutors charged a 65-year-old security guard last week with sexually assaulting three women over the course of four months in his capacity working at North Seattle independent living homes.
Gurdev Singh was a security guard with All-State Security, which was contracted to guard the SHAG Interurban and New Haven complexes and Cambridge at Bitter Lake, all located on Linden Avenue North, police reports indicate.
The first alleged attack occurred May 9 at SHAG Interurban, where a 67-year-old resident headed for the lobby at 6 a.m. to wait for a taxi cab to a dental appointment.
At one point, Singh reportedly walked 50 to 75 feet from the front door to where she sat and stood directly in front of her. He asked her personal questions such as her marital status.
The woman tried to stand up to look for her taxi, but Singh allegedly wrapped his arms around her in a bear hug and asked for a kiss. She said, “Absolutely not” and squirmed about while in his hold, but he continued to try to plant a kiss on her and grabbed her harder, according to the incident report.
The woman told police this struggle continued for about 3 to 5 minutes.
Finally, she pushed Singh away from her and told him “no” again, but then he grabbed her breasts, court records say.
The woman told Singh, “That’s not all right,” and he returned to his post. He reportedly apologized and said, “It’s OK, right?” but the woman told him it wasn’t OK.
The woman’s blood pressure was reportedly too high at her dental office to undergo treatment, Seattle police reports say. She returned home and reported
Another incident was reported Sept. 4 at The Cambridge.
A 53-year-old employee told police she was taking a smoke break during her shift when the security guard, later identified as Singh, approached her and asked her personal questions. He went on to ask her out to get a drink later, the employee claimed. She declined and tried to end the conversation.
However, Singh reportedly took her hands and when she tried to pull them away, he reined her in for a hug, the incident report says. Singh then allegedly moved his hands down her back, prompting the woman to say, “no,” “stop” and “let me go” multiple times.
Singh tried to kiss the woman on her lips, but she ultimately pulled away when someone exited the building within their view.
Finally, a 51-year-old woman reported an incident with Singh at the SHAG New Haven complex.
She was visiting her boyfriend at the apartment building when she headed out to the garage on her way to buy cigarettes at a nearby Albertsons. Singh reportedly engaged her in a conversation. The woman then offered to buy a pregnant homeless woman a beverage at Albertsons and Singh walked with them to the end of the street.
The woman returned from the store to find Singh at his original post and he resumed small talk with her until he grabbed her around the lower back and said, “You’re so beautiful” and “Give me a kiss,” police reports indicate.
The woman said, “No,” but Singh still allegedly kissed her on the lips and then laughed and massaged her breasts over her sweatshirt.
She told him she had to leave, so he reportedly said, “You’re mine now” and “Go upstairs and put your boyfriend to bed, and come back down.”
The woman appeared to agree so he would release her.
She told police she felt violated after the incident. “You’d think you can trust someone in that position,” she told authorities.
Prosecutors charged him with indecent liberties, attempted indecent liberties and fourth-degree assault with sexual motivation.
