Second armored car guard accused of stealing from Mason City ATMs
Mason City IA May 1 2023 – A second armored car guard has been charged with stealing thousands of dollars.
Brian Eugene Bohl Jr., 35 of Sheffield, is accused of first-degree theft.
Mason City police say Bohl and Justin Lee Alumbaugh, 41 of Mason City, stole over $10,000 while working for Rochester Armored Cars between January 6 and December 8 of 2022. Investigators say instead of putting money into ATM machines, Bohl and Alumbaugh would take the money home themselves.
Investigators were notified by the company and believe that they now have all of the culprits in custody.
