Security agent’s observations leads to arrest of 3 women for $4000 Kohl’s theft
Buffalo NY June 4 2019
Three women, one of them carrying a 2-week-old baby, were arrested Saturday after allegedly stealing nearly $4,000 worth of merchandise from the Kohl’s Department Store at 2232 Delaware Ave.
A security agent told Northwest District police that the women allegedly filled a suitcase and a diaper bag with goods about 1 p.m. and fled in a 2005 Chevrolet Impala.
The security agent reported the license plate number and police soon stopped the car and brought the occupants back to the store, where they were identified by the guard.
Charged with third-degree grand larceny, child endangerment, criminal solicitation and unlawfully fleeing in a motor vehicle were the driver:
Yuvonna K. Roberts, 20, of Amherst Street, and two passengers, Tajaniqee A. Scott, 18, of Northland Avenue, and a 16-year-old from Condon Avenue.
Police didn’t specify which was the mother of the infant, nor what types of goods were allegedly stolen.
Police said Roberts had no driver’s license and the baby was not in a child safety seat.
