Security guard attacked with hammer in terrifying petrol station robbery
Liverpool England March 17 2018 A security guard was taken to hospital after he was hit with a hammer in a terrifying cash-in-transit robbery at a Liverpool petrol station.
Police were called to Larkhill service station on Queens Drive in West Derby at around 11.25am on Friday, following reports of a robbery. Police said a security guard who was picking up cash from the garage was confronted by two men.
One of the offenders hit the security guard on the wrist with a hammer and took a cash box from him. Police said the offenders arrived at the garage in white transit van and left the scene in a black VW Polo.
The security guard was taken to hospital where he was treated for an injury to his wrist.
