Security guard charged for allegedly selling cannabis to a juvenile
South Hedland Australia July 26th, 2023 A licensed security guard has been charged for allegedly selling Cannabis to a young person.
The arrest comes following civilians tipped off to the police on 18th, July, 2023 (Tuesday), that a licensed security officer who worked at a local business building in South Hedland allegedly sold Cannabis to a juvenile.
One day later (19th, July 2023), police executed a search warrant on a room and a vehicle at an accommodation in Port Hedland.
Authorities will alleged that cash, Cannabis and items related to the sale or supply of drugs were found and seized.
A 32-year-old man from Margaret River was arrested and charged with:
Sold a Prohibited Drug
Possession of Prohibited Drugs with Intent to Sell or Supply (Cannabis)
Possession of Stolen or Unlawfully Obtained Property (cash)
He is due to appear in South Hedland Magistrates Court on Monday 14 August 2023.
Licensing Service officers will be monitoring court process and determine whether the accused is still suitable to hold a license to perform security work.
