Security Guard Charged With 4 Counts of Attempted Murder
MONROE, La. July 13 2021 Authorities have arrested a Winnsboro woman on four counts of attempted second-degree murder. The incident happened on July 11, 2021.
According to the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office, they got a call from a victim who said she was at a mud ride event on Gourd Bayou Rd in Monroe when a security guard shot at her, and the bullets hit her vehicle.
Upon arrival, OPSO says the caller and three others said they were arguing with some other people at the event during which time the security guard, 21-year-old Brianna Bresha Davis came over and separated them.
Arrests records say the victims said Davis became verbally abusive and when they started talking back to her, she sprayed them with mace.
OPSO says the victims told them after they were sprayed, they got in their vehicle and Davis shot three rounds at their car with a handgun.
The sheriff’s office says they saw the front passenger window was shattered and also found a couple of bullet holes.
Authorities say the victims identified Davis as the security guard who maced and shot at them.
They say she admitted to the crimes and was arrested on 4 counts of attempted second-degree murder and 4 counts of aggravated battery.
