Security guard charged with first degree manslaughter in shooting death
TULSA, Okla. June 7 2020– Tulsa police declared a fatal shooting Saturday afternoon as a homicide.
According to police, a man was shot and killed by a security guard at the Knight’s Inn on the 1000 block of South Garnett Road.
The security guard, identified as 53-year-old Christopher Straight, had been involved in an altercation with the victim.
Citing evidence from the scene, authorities determined the victim attempted to walk past Straight but Straight pepper strayed the victim.
The victim then attacked Straight, who police claim shot and killed the victim.
Straight is being charged with first degree manslaughter.
