Security Guard shot at disgruntled client at Arizona DES office
TUCSON, AZÂ Â March 16 2018
An independent security guard shot at a disgruntled client outside an Arizona Department of Economic Security office in Tucson Thursday afternoon, city police said.
A Tucson Police Department spokesperson said the client was being escorted out by the guard when there was a verbal argument.
The guard opened fire at the client, who was in his vehicle at the time, the TPD said. No one was hurt.
A TPD captain said the client was unarmed, but investigators are trying to determine if he was trying to use his vehicle as a weapon when he was shot at.
Neither man has been detained and both are cooperating with the investigation.
The TPD said it happened around 1:45 p.m. in a parking lot outside the building, which is located in the 1400 block of South Alvernon Way.
