Security guard shot at fish arcade in Salisbury NC
SALISBURY, N.C. June 17 2022 A security guard is recovering after being shot during a robbery at a fish arcade in Salisbury.
Police say the incident happened on Wednesday night after 9 p.m. at an arcade located at 612 S. Main St.
Three men walked into the arcade with the intention of robbing the business.
The 34-year-old security guard was shot during the robbery.
He was taken to Novant Health Rowan Medical Center with injuries described by police as “not life-threatening.”

In April this year, a security officer working at the La Casa Skilled Based Game, in Charlotte NC was also shot during a robbery.
Also in April, another security officer was shot at the Tap’s Game Room located in Rocky Mount North Carolina. Both security officers survived with injuries.
Similar shootings at other adult arcades have ended with homicides of security officers in numerous states including Oklahoma and Texas.
