Security guard shot man at Summit County concert
AKRON, Ohio September 16, 2024 Promotor Jarreau McClendon says a man was shot outside of a concert Saturday night at Burton Hills event center.
The center is right off of South Arlington Road and McClendon said both young people and college students were there.
“They love an artist by the name of YSN Flow and every time they have a party a lot of his songs get played,” explained McClendon. “It was an ample opportunity for us to put the artist in front of his fan base.”
McClendon says he called 911 after seeing that the security guard shot the man in the shoulder near his chest.
McClendon says another person at the concert drove the man to the hospital and the Sheriff’s department showed up to get statements about what happened.
“I just want the promoters that I deal with and the reputation of the event center to stay intact,” explained McClendon.
The Summit County Sheriff’s Office has not released any further information.
