Security guard stabbed at Hamden condo complex
HAMDEN CT December 18 2019 – A security guard was stabbed in an altercation with a man who was seen looking into a back window of a condominium unit Friday night.
At around 10 a.m., police responded to 190 Pine Rock Avenue on the report of a stabbing.
Central Communications personnel advised responding officers that a security guard at the complex had been stabbed.
Capt. Ronald Smith said the investigation revealed that the security guard, a 51-year-old New Haven resident, observed a tall, thin black male looking into a back window of a condominium unit.
“Upon approaching the subject, a brief physical altercation ensued. The male then stabbed the security guard in his forearm,” Smith said in a release.
“He subsequently fled northbound, through a wooded area.”
Hamden Fire Rescue rendered medical assistance to the victim. The victim was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital for medical treatment.
