Security guard stabbed by thief at Bayers Lake store
Halifax Canada Sept 30 2021 A security guard at a Bayers Lake store was stabbed in the arm Monday afternoon when he tried to stop a thief.
Halifax police responded to the incident in the 0-100 block of Washmill Lake Drive in Halifax at 4:27 p.m., the force said in a news release.
Officers were told the guard was stabbed when he confronted someone who was stealing merchandise from the store, then the assailant fled.
The suspect is 25 to 30 years old, about six-feet tall and was wearing blue jeans, sneakers and a ball cap.
The victim was treated in hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
