Security guard’s gun accidentally fires, shooting himself at Milwaukee high school football game
Milwaukee WI September 28 2024 A security guard’s gun accidentally went off at a Wisconsin Lutheran High School football game on Sept. 27, the school’s principal confirmed to WISN 12.
Milwaukee police said the guard’s gun accidentally fired into his left thigh. Nobody else was injured.
WISN 12 News was at the game when the gun went off. Spectators, players and coaches all fled the area once the gunshot was heard.
Wisconsin Lutheran High School Principal Landon Zacharyasz said the guard was taken in a Wauwatosa ambulance to a hospital. The severity of the security guard’s injury was unclear Friday night.
Zacharyasz also said the game against Milwaukee Lutheran High School was ended because of the incident.
