Security officer at Santa Fe hotel-casino shot, 1 detained
LAS VEGAS NV Dec 18 2021— Police in Las Vegas are investigating a shooting at Santa Fe hotel-casino on North Rancho Drive near Lone Mountain Road.
Officers responded to reports of the incident shortly before 2:45 p.m. and say there is no threat to the public at this time.
According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, a security officer with the property was shot during “a disturbance.” The details of that disturbance are not clear.
The security officer received multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. They are currently stable.
One person was detained.
