Security officer finds person shot-attempted CPR
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. Oct 1 2018— A person has died after a shooting on the south side of Indianapolis. This marks the third fatal shooting of the day.
On Saturday night around 9:30, police were called to a person shot on the 4200 block of Burkhart Drive. That’s near South Meridian Street and I-465. Metro Police confirms the victim was a man in his early 30’s.
A security guard at the scene found the man sitting in his car suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The security guard attempted CPR, but unfortunately the victim died.
This is the third shooting IMPD is investigating today. A person died after a shooting on the east side this afternoon, and another person died after a shooting on the north west side this evening.
