Security officer held at gunpoint during Cleveland bank robbery
EAST CLEVELAND, OH Feb 22 2018— Three men robbed a US Bank branch in East Cleveland on Tuesday morning. Now the FBI and local police are asking the public for help identifying the suspects.
The three men arrived at the bank branch at 1813 Forest Hills at about 10:40 a.m. They pulled up in a newer black Honda Accord. Two of the men got out of the car and went into the bank.
One of the suspects pulled out a handgun and put it to the head of a security guard in the lobby. Another suspect then went to the teller and demanded money. The teller met the demand, handing over some cash. No one was hurt during the robbery.
The armed suspect was wearing a blue surgical mask. Both suspects were said to be very young, skinny and between five foot nine inches tall and five foot 10 inches tall. Both suspects ran out of the bank and into the Honda Accord.
That car was found two hours after the robbery. The vehicle had been carjacked from someone in the Euclid area earlier this week, the FBI said.
