Security officer helps police nab three burglars
LITTLE ROCK AR Jan 31 2021 Little Rock police have arrested three men in connection to a gun show theft that happened earlier this month.
Police say they arrested Vicente Cantu, 22, on Jan. 13. Kaleb Barnett, 23, and Matthew Thomas, 22 were taken into custody on Thursday. 18 guns and more than 450 rounds of ammo were stolen. So far, six weapons have been recovered.
Officers responded to the fairgrounds at 2600 Howard Street just after 3 a.m. on Jan. 3. When they arrived, they found a rifle and rifle parts scattered on the floor. A security guard found that the back door of the Hall of Industry was open and the chain was broken.
Barnett and Cantu are being held in the Pulaski County jail on a $100,000 surety bond. Thomas is being held on a $75,000 surety bond.
Police ask that anyone who purchased a weapon from the men to call detectives at 501-404-3098.
