Security officer killed in Riverside County crash
Riverside County CA July 31 2017 A Chula Vista man who worked for a technology company died in a motorcycle crash in Riverside County last weekend.
Jose De Vera, 64, crashed his motorcycle along state Route 79, south of Patterson Avenue, in Winchester at 11:15 a.m. on July 23, according to the Riverside County Coroner’s Office and the California Highway Patrol.
De Vera, who immigrated from the Philippines in 1988, is survived by his wife, Sally, seven children and four grandchildren. He was an administrative security officer for Cobham, a technology firm, where he’d worked for 23 years.
His daughter, Tatiana Bogy, described her father as someone who loved to bring people together.
“My Dad valued relationships; he knew what was important in life and he made time with his friends and family,” she said.
No details about the crash were available from the CHP.
