Security officer shoots man at Homewood Alabama Walmart
HOMEWOOD, AL April 18 2018
One person is in custody after an early morning shooting call in the parking lot of the Walmart location in Homewood.
The incident happened around 1 a.m. on Lakeshore Parkway after police say a contracted security guard got into an altercation and shot the victim in the torso.
The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and has since been released.
Police do not know what caused the confrontation or the reason that the security guard fired at the man.
The investigation is on-going.
