Security Officer Shot 7 Times During Gun Battle

A security officer on duty at a Spring Texas game room came face to face with multiple armed men attempting to rob the business.
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said the incident happened at about 4:44 a.m. at 1411 Spring Cypress Rd.
Investigators said several men tried to rob the game room and open fire on the armed security officer who pulled his own weapon and a “gun battle” ensued critically injuring the security officer who was shot seven times.
The suspects fled and it’s unknown if they have been shot.
The sheriff’s office said there were no other reported injuries, and no one is in custody.
According to Gonzales an investigation is underway.
